Councillor Ian Muress

Ian Muress was co-opted onto Speldhurst Parish Council in June 2023. He is a member of the Highways, Planning and Air Traffic Committees, and also coordinates the parish’s Footpaths Group.

Ian moved to Langton Green from Northumberland in 2000 with his wife and family. He was a long standing CEO in insurance with international responsibilities, enjoying a renowned reputation around customer service.

A keen sports fan, Ian recently retired, and now looks forward to spending more time walking locally. He loves being outdoors and has been seen on a personal crusade picking litter throughout the village.

Ian is delighted now to have the opportunity to serve the local community as a member of the Parish Council.
