Join in With the 2025 Great British Spring Clean

Now in its tenth year, the Great British Spring Clean takes place from 21 March - 6 April. During the campaign communities like ours come together as a network of #LitterHeroes to tidy up the places they love. This year, the message is simple: take pride in your community during the Great British Spring Clean and beyond.

Once again our Parish Councilors have pledged to fill as many bags of rubbish as they can around Ashurst, Langton Green, Old Groombridge and Speldhurst. If you'd like to join in, we have spare litter pickers and hi-vis jackets which we are happy for you to borrow (you'll need to supply your own bin bags). Just contact the council office to arrange a time to pick these up.

We'd also like it if you'd send us a photo of your litter picking that you're happy for us to share viaour parish magazines and soical media. We know many of you in Speldhurst parish are litter heroes already, and we want to recognise your efforts with a public thank you.
