We are currently dealing with several reports about issues on footpaths around the parish. In particlular, footpath WT80 - which leads from Lower Green Road across the field into Shadwell Woods - has a damaged stile which has been dangerous to climb for some time now. We have put the landowner responsible for the stile in touch with the Public Rights of Way Officer at Kent County Council (KCC), and the plan is for KCC to supply two metal self-closing gates to replace the damaged stile, and a second stile further up the field. It is taking some time for this to be arranged, but we are doing all we can to help with progress. In the meantime, please take care when using the footpath.

If you have reported issues on other footpaths in the parish using the QR code markers that can be found along the paths, we will do our best to reply and let you know we are dealing with your report. In most cases we will need to liaise with KCC or the relevant landowner to get repair work done, and this can take time.

Thank you to everyone who keeps an eye on our parish footpaths for us.
