Speldhurst Parish Council Join In

You don't have to be a Parish Councillor to join in with our activities. Here are some of the ways we can work together:

  • Community Speedwatch - run by volunteers using our equipment in partnership with Kent Police. Our village Speedwatch coordinators are always looking for more volunteers.
  • Join one of our committees or working groups as a Member of the Public. Our Highways Committee and Environment Working Group both have space for residents to join.
  • Borrow our equipment to do a litter pick. We can help you publicize your litter-picking event too.
  • 'Adopt' a public right of way and let us know when you spot a broken stile, fallen tree, or other issue that could stop walkers from safely using the footpath.
  • Anything else! If you have an idea about how you would like to work with the parish council, whether you are a resident, local business, or organisation, we welcome input and would love to hear from you. Parish Councils can only be as effective as YOU, the residents make them, so get in touch!

If you are interested in helping with any of the above, simply contact the Clerk to find out how to get started.
