Emergency road closure - Speldhurst Road, Langton Green

We've just seen that the road is closed by Winston Scott Avenue. Please note that, amongst others, this will affect parents on the Langton Green Primary school run because anyone needing to access Langton Green village hall car park from The Hare Pub junction will not be able to.

The regular bus driver on the 282 bus route from Speldhurst - Tunbridge Wells has also posted that the bus will onlybe able to start/terminate at The Hare until further notice.

The closure is due to emergency repair works to an electric cable fault which has caused power cuts. There is a license for works to continue until 6th June, however the work men don't think they will need this long. It's also possible they will re-open the road outside working hours - we will try to keep you updated.

Diversion signs are in place to help you use an alternative route - please factor extra time into your journey.
