TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

Stonewall Park Road, Langton Green, Speldhurst will be closed to through traffic, on or after 18 April 2018 for up to 3 Days. The road will be closed between the junctions of Homewood Road and Wildbury.  The alternative route is via Sailbury Road - Langton Road.  The closure is necessary to enable Carriageway Investigation to be carried out by KCC Highways.

Barden Road, Speldhurst  will be closed to through traffic, on or after 23 April 2018 for up to 3 Days.  The road will be closed between the junctions of Furzefield Avenue and Barden Cottage.  The alternative route is via Speldhurst Hill - Etherington Hill - Speldhurst Road - St John Road - London Road - Bidborough Ridge - Penshurst Road. The closure is necessary to enable Glasdon Gateway posts and signs to be taken up either side of road & replace works to be carried out by KCC Highways.  This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site, and is valid for a period of no more than 5 days.

Broad Lane, Fordcombe – from 9 May 2018 for up to 2 days.  The road will be closed outside “Fitchetts Farm”.  The alternative route is via Chafford Lane, B2188 Fordcombe Road, A264 Ashurst Road and vice versa. The closure is to enable the replacement of telegraph pole to be carried out by BT Openreach.

Barden Road, Speldhurst – from 4 June 2018 for up to 1 day.  The road will be closed outside “Long Hedges”. The alternative route is via B2176 Penshurst Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, A26 London Road, Speldhurst Road, Etherington Hill, Speldhurst Hill and vice versa.  The closure is to enable a new electricity supply to be carried out by UK Power Networks.

Speldhurst Parish Council's office is situated at the Langton Green Recreation ground adjacent to the village hall.

Opening hours are Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9.30am to 1pm; Wednesday 2pm to 5pm and closed on Thursday

If these hours are inconvenient please contact the clerk to make an appointment.

All Parish Councillors give their time to the community for no remuneration and the hours they spend every week on Council business are considerable.
