LGBCE Electoral Review of the Borough & Electoral System - Consultation

The Electoral Review of the Borough is now underway and a decision on Council Size (i.e. the number of Councillors the Council will have going forwards) will be made by the Boundary Commission by December this year. The Borough Council is seeking to prepare a submission on Council size, which will need to be submitted by the deadline of 1 November.

Alongside this, the Council is considering it’s electoral system and whether to change from a ‘by thirds’ electoral system, to an ‘all out’ electoral system.

To gather the views of the public and stakeholders on these issues, a short consultation was launched on Monday 26 July, and will run until Sunday 5 September. The consultation will be available on the Council’s website at https://tunbridgewells.gov.uk/council/have-your-say/consultations.
